The cast members have been meeting as part of the rehearsal schedule. A photo shoot was arranged for one of the schedules and further work was done in relation to team building and stories relating to cancer.
As part of the evaluation process they were asked 2 questions - here are some of their responses:
What struck me about today’s session?
- How quickly I can adapt to any situation that is required of me in an acting role.
- I have been impressed that how all the small individual components have contributed
- to bring the whole thing together e.g. naming the characters ,developing the characters the singing ,the improvisation · Just seeing the chemistry of all of us working together for a common aim
- I am really looking forward to developing more techniques.
- Trusting the process and suspending judgements of how the process “ should” be
- Coming to rehearsals and being involved in this drama takes me away from the stresses in my life as you are so engrossed in a creative process.
- This process was a complete surprise from what I thought it was going to be and what I have been used to.
- The atmosphere has been fantastic
- Never judge a book by its cover. Although I have not experienced this way of working I have learnt so much.
- The Artistic Directors methodology and style is very unique

- A more creative mind
- Longevity of the process
- How we can build together
- The belief in self potential
Cast members were asked about their thoughts at the end of the teambuilding session. The following are some of the comments they made
- We have all shared a number of stories I learnt that these are pivotal to what we do.
- I learnt a great deal about myself from the variety of exercises I did.
- The copying exercises were particularly effective.
- By sharing our stories of experiences of cancer with family and friends really helped with team bonding Learning that we can play a number of different ages and gender
- Fantastic atmosphere can believe we have only been together as a group for a few hours.
- It felt really emotional performing as a patient.
- It was good to see the ability of people to take risks in a safe environment in order to develop as an actor.
