About the Community Play

Health Drama Productions have been commissioned by NHS Derby City to develop a community play about Cancer with specific focus on bowel cancer targeting the South Asian communities.

Health Drama Productions are using a community development approach in the delivery of this project. We are working with local community groups and undertaking ‘cancer’ participatory workshops with some of the groups. We are also conducting the Bowel Cancer Awareness Measure questionnaire with the local communities. The findings from the workshops and questionnaires and workshops will be used to develop the play

2009         FORCED MARRIAGES
Writer and Director on "Her Choice, Your Duty to Protect" in response to the 2008 Forced Marriage legislation. A DVD has been developed for training and development purposes for the UK police. This work was commissioned by Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO). The DVD is to be launched at an international conference this October.
